Thesis Supervision at HUAM

Prerequisites & Planning

We primarily supervise theses that align with our core research areas and build on relevant coursework or prior experience.

Since empirical studies are often only feasible during term time, we recommend reaching out at least three months before your intended start date.

Topics & Your Ideas

You are encouraged to propose your own topics, provided they resonate with our research focus. This includes, for example:

  • The influence of AI on human ethical behavior and decision-making
  • Trust in human–machine interaction and AI-mediated communication
  • Social dynamics of synthetic relationships and conversational agents
  • AI in education, corruption risks, or governance

If you are still exploring ideas, the following questions may help you refine your proposal:

  • Which of our research areas interests you most?
  • Are you more interested in individual or social processes?
  • Do you have preferences regarding methods or settings (e.g., experiments, programming, field studies, or specific analytical approaches)?

Next Steps

For general inquiries or to discuss your ideas, please contact a member of our team.

Sharing your initial thoughts on the points above will help us assess how we can best support your project.

We look forward to collaborating with you in our experimental and feedback-driven research environment.
