How can complex AI research be communicated in a way that is both accurate and accessible? This question is central to the work of the Research Center Trustworthy Data Science and Security (RC Trust) – and it is precisely where Robin Stecher contributes.
Robin recently joined the communication team as a student assistant while pursuing his Bachelor’s degree in computer science at TU Dortmund University. Alongside his technical background, he has a strong interest in (data) journalism and science communication. This combination allows him to approach research topics from both perspectives: understanding the underlying methods and translating them into clear, engaging narratives.
In his role, Robin supports the development of new communication formats and contributes to making research more visible and tangible. From written content to visual storytelling and digital formats, he brings fresh ideas on how to reach different audiences more effectively – including students, the broader public, and stakeholders beyond academia.
With an additional background in photography, he also contributes to strengthening the visual presence of the center. His work helps to present research not only as an abstract concept, but as something people can see, understand, and relate to.
By combining technical understanding with an interest in communication and design, Robin supports RC Trust’s goal of making trustworthy AI research more transparent and accessible – and of fostering a more informed dialogue between science and society.
