Hi, I’m Sarah. I am a research assistant in the Human Understanding of Algorithms and Machines group and a Master’s student in Cognition and Media Science at the University of Duisburg-Essen.
My research interests focus on online communication and media reception, particularly on how people process information in digital environments and how algorithmic systems shape trust and credibility. I am especially fascinated by the dynamics of short-form video platforms and the growing presence of AI-generated content, and how both the format and origin of content influence user perception and engagement.
After graduating next year, I plan to pursue a research-oriented career in this field, combining empirical methods with interdisciplinary perspectives.
