The University of Duisburg - Essen is looking for a research assistant at the Essen campus in the Faculty of Computer Science, Department Human Understanding of Algorithims and Machines a research assistant. Your Main Responsibilities:

Supporting the Human Understanding of Algorithms and Machines research group. Our team con-ducts behavioral studies on dynamic (AI) algorithms. For more information, see here.

We are looking for an assistant to support us in conducting experiments, including:

• Implementing surveys and online studies (e.g. with SoSci Survey or LimeSurvey)

• Supporting data cleaning and analysis

• Conducting literature research

• Supporting our science communication strategy

Co-authorship on publications may be possible.

Your Profile:

• Completed Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Social Science, Business Administration, Data Science, Communication Science, or a related field

• Enrollment at a German university

• First experiences with conducting empirical research

• Fluent in German and English (both at least B2)

Position Details:

• Start date: As soon as possible

• Contract duration: 12 months (with the possibility of extension)

• Working hours: 5–19 hours per week
