Bilal joined the center in April 2024, heading the chair on Artificial Intelligence and Society.
Before that, he was working as a research scientist at Amazon and at the Bosch Center for Artificial Intelligence. Before that, he was a PhD student at Max Planck Institute for Software Systems (MPI-SWS) and Saarland University. Bilal was co-advised by Krishna P. Gummadi and Manuel Gomez Rodriguez.
