On 28th and 29th of August 2024 the symposium on current statistical methods for meta-analyses will be held in Göttingen, initiated by Tim Friede, Christian Röver (Department of Medical Statistics, University Medical Center Göttingen) and Markus Pauly (Department of Statistics, TU Dortmund University).
The symposium is part of the joint research project "Valid methods for meta-analyses with few studies and small sample sizes" of Tim Friede and Markus Pauly funded by the German Research Foundation. The programme will include presentations of many renowned researchers in the field of meta-analysis as well as contributed talks.

-Anna Chaimani - Senior researcher at the Institute of Health and Medical Research (Inserm) Paris, France and head of the Evidence Synthesis Group of the Center of Research in Epidemiology and Statistics
-Christopher Schmid - Chair of the Department of Biostatistics at Brown University's School of Public Health, USA
-Pablo E. Verde - Group leader "Biometry" of the Coordination Centre for Clinical Trials at the Düsseldorf University Hospital, Germany
-Wolfgang Viechtbauer - Associate professor of methodology and statistics in the Department of Psychiatry and Neuropsychology (Faculty of Health, Medicine, and Life Sciences) and the School for Mental Health and Neuroscience Maastricht University, Netherlands
